Manitoba Education and Early on Childhood Learning is committed to fostering inclusion for all people.

Inclusion is a mode of thinking and acting that allows every individual to feel accepted, valued and safe. An inclusive customs consciously evolves to meet the changing needs of its members. Through recognition and support, an inclusive community provides meaningful interest and equal access to the benefits of citizenship. In Manitoba, we embrace inclusion equally a means of enhancing the well-existence of every member of the customs. By working together, we strengthen our chapters to provide the foundation for a richer future for all of us.

Inclusive schools provide a learning environment that is attainable to all students as a identify to learn, grow, be accepted and savor all the benefits of citizenship.

In an inclusive school, all students are provided with the supports and opportunities they need to become participating students and members of their schoolhouse communities. Collaboration among habitation, school and
community is imperative. Core values and behavior include:

  • All students can acquire, in unlike ways and at unlike rates.
  • All students have individual abilities and needs.
  • All students want to feel they belong and are valued.
  • All students have the right to benefit from their education.

Student Services consists of an assortment of programming, services and staff that accost the diverse needs of all students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In Manitoba, every school division is unique in how it provides a continuum of supports for students with exceptional needs due to cognitive, perceptual, social, emotional, behavioural, or physical factors, amongst others, that touch their ability to succeed in school. Schools and schoolhouse divisions coordinate supports and services in collaboration with community partners and agencies, Manitoba Teaching and Early Childhood Learning and its interdepartmental partners within the government of Manitoba. Everyone has a role to play in the provision of appropriate educational programming.

This section provides data for parents, teachers, clinicians and administrators regarding student services planning processes, funding, support documents, and inclusive educational instructional supports and programming.
